I am with brian. I willl just pile up stuff infront of me. I have thought about putting a layout blind on the banks of the Columbia or on Cold Springs Res. What ever to break up my outline.

i'd watch out,if the pond is really hugh.i'd hunt it.if it is small an bird's are going there don't.why-it's simple the bird's feel at rest there, comfortable.if you start wacking them on a small pond they will leave it to find a safer refuge.if you can get away with it hunt away from it be field or creek.-ect.or be in line with were they are going to.alot say you should be on the x. wrong in my book.once you blast your x out were are you going now.early morning scouting trip's. get in line were they go to an from.you will kill geese.say early season grren grass field's,wheat,hay-ect. reg-season-cut corn somewere close to your line were geese are coming an going. late cornfield's. never put pressure on your favorite honey hole-if you do it won't last long. see-ya steve
